Making Charlotte's Web

Materials:
8 oz. worsted weight yarn
Crochet hook, size I

Sizes:
Child (Adult in parentheses)

Neckband:
Ch 70 (80), sl st in first chain, ch 3, dc in next 69 (79) ch, sl st in top of ch 3.
(Note: neckband can be made wider or narrower here by adding or subtracting stitches for the starting chain. Just be sure it has an even number of chain stitches.)

Web:
Rnd 1: ch 10, *skp 1 dc, sc in top of next dc, ch 10, repeat from * all the way around. After last ch 10, sl st in top of ch 3 from the neckband. Do 5 sc around first half of first ch 10 loop.
Rnd 2: ch 10, *sc in top of next ch 10 loop from previous row, ch 10, repeat from * all the way around. After last ch 10, sl st around middle of ch 10 loop from previous row. Do 5 sc around first half of first ch 10 loop in this rnd.
Rnd 3-19 (24): Repeat Rnd 2. (Note: pattern can be lengthened or shortened here by adding or subtracting rounds.)

Bobble row:
Rnd 20 (25): *Ch 12, do 3 dc in 3rd ch from hook, 3 dc in each of the next 4 ch (let it curl up), slip st in next ch, ch 5, sc in top of next ch 10 loop from previous row, repeat from * all the way around. To end last loop, sl st in top of first ch 10 loop of previous row, cut yarn, pull through.

Finishing:
Weave yarn into stitches of nearby loops. Best done with a crochet hook several sizes smaller. Tuck in end of yard in neck band.
